MPS School of Excellence Tryouts

The MPS School of Excellence program is a player development program that caters for young players, boys and girls, aged 7-12 yrs old. SOE is geared towards dedicated and passionate players who are looking for advanced training with similarly talented players.
For the 2008/2009 season all locations will be holding an official tryout. Details of each site can be found below.

MPS Clinics:

MPS and Dover-Sherborn Youth Soccer have once again teamed up to offer the Junior School of Excellence for both Boys and Girls in grades 1 and 2. The program runs for 6 weeks with a season ending Jamboree.

The details of the program are listed below, and as returning players, you will have first option to re-join. We encourage you to sign up quickly as rosters spots are limited due to staffing capacity!

Practice Day: Friday

Practice Time: 5:15 - 6:15

Practice Location: Laurel Farms...Sherborn, MA

Spring Season Begins: MAY 9TH

Spring Season Ends: JUNE 13TH

JAMBOREE: JUNE 22ND

Cost per player: $125 FOR RETURNEES...$150 FOR NEW PLAYERS

As with the regular SOE, the JSOE is designed to work in conjunction with town soccer, members of the School of Excellence must be registered with their town program to be able to participate in a full time professionally organized and managed soccer club.

Unlike many other club soccer programs in Massachusetts, Mass Premier Soccer provides a structured and progressive developmental model where players will have the opportunity to progress through each stage of the soccer development ladder.

The JSOE program will be very much focused on introducing and developing the key fundamental technical components of soccer. The program will be both fun and challenging for the players involved and will serve to ensure their enthusiasm for soccer grows along with their ability.
